I'd been seeing these traditional Ukranian Dresses aka peasant dresses for a while now and I've loved them from the first time I saw them. I love how it gives "Bohemian yet chic" vibes. In my quest to bag myself one, I discovered the Ukranian brand Yuliya Magdych (responsible for putting this traditional Ukranian attire in the lime light), but when I saw the price tag I was shook. More recently I discovered this style of dress but for way less, so I ordered it. I was so worried about the quality and kept thinking of those online shopping horror stories...

Hey Guys, Can you believe its October already?? Goals (smashed or unsmashed) aside, I'm excited for this new month because it's my birth month (feel free to send me gifts). I got this dress on our holiday. I had seen it in Singapore but could not release the money they were calling for it. Fast forward to when we were leaving Dubai and I realized that I hadn't bought any clothes for work. I quickly ran to the nearest Zara and copped it. My justification was that it'll be my work statement dress.lol. What do you think? Statement or nah? xx Segi...

Hi everyone, how are y'all doinggg? Its been a while and I've missed catching up with you guys on the blog. Segi and I took a much needed break in August (or so we thought *hot tears*), we went to Singapore with toddlers, who does that???? <--- the exact question someone asked me, like who sent us? It definitely wasn't easy,  and I gained a new level of respect for my son's nanny because that boy showed me something, lol. Singapore is a very beautiful place, so modern and futuristic, it was fantastic learning about a new culture, and we...

#Workchic, Where to shop, Work Style / 07.09.2017

Hey guys, It's me (*Todd Kraines voice*). So I was going through my Instagram feed last month and saw that Clan was doing a sale. For those who don't know, Clan is a fashion label owned by Deola Sagoe's daughters.  If you know Clan, you know they are NOT cheap so my antenna was on high alert. I pencilled down the date and continued my insta-stalking (we all do it, let's not pretend). Unfortunately, I couldn't sneak out of work on the first day of the sale (the only day that matters imo. The next day is for...

Hey Guys, Hope you are all enjoying the 4-day weekend. I'm so happy for the long weekend (but you know it'll fly by like quicksand). As you may have noticed, we are really big on Nigerian brands. It's really exciting what Nigerian brands are coming up with. One brand we are currently loving at the moment is Adey Soile. The brand's aim is to revolutionize the modern working woman’s wardrobe by creating classic timeless clothing that can be worn year after year and you know we love our workwear ;) Adey Soile recently launched a new collection - The Dahomey Amazon Collection, which...

Dresses, Exaggerated Sleeves, Pastel / 27.08.2017

Hey guys, today I am wearing my favorite dress from one of my favorite Nigerian fashion brands Grey. It has features I love in a dress, first it is a dress (lol, I love my dresses), it is in pretty pastel colors and has a bomb structured and exaggerated sleeve, love it. I have styled it with nude pumps and a pair of nude pumps to compliment the dress' pastel hues and I quite like how its turned out. Grey is doing a sale all weekend and it ends today so definitely check them out if you are in Lagos....

#Workchic, Aso Oke, classic looks, Uncategorized / 24.08.2017

Hey Guys, It's the end of another week and of course I have a new Work Chic post for you. I don't know about you but my work wardrobe colour spectrum is mostly white, black, grey and the random pop of colour here and there. This dress reminds me of My Girl (by the Temptations), it definitely brings sunshine to my work wardrobe. I love the black mesh/aso-oke (not sure what fabric it is) detail on the shoulders and waist. Dress - Adey Soile Enjoy the rest of the week. xx Segi...

Dresses, Exaggerated Sleeves, Pom Poms / 06.08.2017

A friend of mine recently drew my attention to the fact that I wear a lot of polka dot prints, I didn't even realise it. I guess I am naturally drawn to this chic print and more recently its become so much more cooler (Hello Jacquemus). This dress is one of the pieces from a new collection of designs by me. I really appreciate a structured piece and was inspired by the Jacquemus polka dot blouses when I made this dress. To make it mine, I attached black wool pom poms to the sleeves for that little extra spice. In...

Happy new month guys! (You know I come from a place where we wish each other a happy new day, week, month etc). I can't believe it's August already. Didn't this year just start like last month? I love how the Lagos scene is evolving. It's no longer just about going to the cinema, restaurants/bars and clubs. These days you can catch a play almost every week, go kayaking, surfing, go to an exhibition or food/fashion fair, etc. If you are like me though, you probably still only do at least one of the first three things I mentioned. The...
